About The University of New Mexico

The University of New Mexico was founded in 1889 in Albuquerque, and the main campus is home to over 800 acres. Hosting an exciting campus life with its proximity to the city, UNM offers a variety of opportunities for students to be involved. Along with award-winning programs, UNM has expanded to eLearning programs for students to take from anywhere. Through the Extended Learning courses, students can take advantage of the great aspects of UNM material through a more flexible schedule.

Greater access to higher education at UNM makes a positive difference in the lives of New Mexico students, their families, and their communities. Alternative learning opportunities are very important for non-traditional students, as well as meeting the greater expectations of traditional students in the fast, nimble pace of a mobile world.
